About

What I look like

This is what I look like. Please restrain yourselves.

As you’ve probably guessed from the bold text above, my name is Sam, and this is my website.  I’m from Adelaide, Australia. You probably don’t know me. Unless you’re from Adelaide, then the chances are actually fairly high…

I’m interested in politics, current affairs, social justice, radio broadcasting, journalism, writing, music, political ethics and moral philosophy, and, to a lesser extent, website design and IT (see below)

Sometimes I write stuff on this website - see my blog

Sometimes I broadcast on Radio Adelaide 101.5FM – the shows I co-host are The Range (4-5:30 Wednesdays) and Represent (6-7 Fridays). Music and Politics respectively.

Sometimes I make pithy comments on Twitter - @SamDeere

Sometimes I write for On Dit, the student magazine of Adelaide University. I’m one of the 2011 editors.

Sometimes I release killer instrumental music to mess with your head – www.thechaimanmusic.com

Shameless Plug

A small minority of people would be happy to know that I can provide you with nice, shiny website code. I code in (X)HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. To those who don’t wear their nerd badges with quite as much pride, that means that I can take your website design, and turn it into a functional, easy to use, standards compliant, twin-turbo, vitamin enriched website. Find out more…
